The Hot Key
USING THE KEYBOARD
Section 3 describes how to use many of the special
productivity features built into the TRAK I 0 I keyboard.
Specifically. how
to
swap the Caps Lock and Control
keys. activate Period-Comma Lock. and how to use the
dual function cursor pad.
The TRAKlOI 's unique "Hot Key" (Right Ctr!). feature
allows you to quickly make changes to the keyboard's
layout to meet your specific requirements. When
pressed by itself. the hot key functions as the standard
Right Ctr! key. When pressed in combination with one
of the hot key sequences. one of three keyboard changes
will occur:
• Switch the Dual Function Cursor Pad
• Swap the Caps Lock and Ctr! keys
• Lock in the Period and Comma keys
The following pages discuss in detail each of these hot
key functions.
The function keys, numeric pad keys, and typewriter area
keys function like those on an enhanced 10 I keyboard.
For information on specific key functions. refer to the
User Manual that came with your computer, a DOS
Manual, or your application program manual.
