Before the trackball can function, a software trackball
driver must be loaded. The trackball driver allows the
trackball and computer to communicate. The TRAKIOI/
102 Software Diskette contains an Install program that
copies the driver software onto your hard disk. The
TRAK 102 keyboard uses the same driver as the TRAKlOI.

The TRAKIOl .driversoftware is Microsoft

already have a Microsoft mouse driver
loaded for use with Windows or other
apPlications, you
will
not
need
to load the
1'.RAKIOI trackb8.ll driver.
Windows will not recognize the keyboard if
it is
in cursor ball mode during· 1oading.
Make sure the keyboard is in mouse mode
when loading MS Windows.
Follow these steps to run the TRAK IO 1 Install program.

Place a back-up copy of the Trak 101
Software Diskette into drive A.
From the DOS prompt. type:
A> INST ALL
<RETURN>
The Install program copies the driver software, utilities.
games. and the Trackball Assistant program according to
your input during the Install process. Install will modify
your AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS file so that the
trackball driver is loaded each time you restart your
system.
