Depending on the country, the fuels you can use
in your vehicle may differ from the information in
the Owner's Manual. The fuels that have been
approved for your vehicle can be found on the
instruction label on the inside of the fuel filler flap.

Even small amounts of the wrong fuel could
result in damage to the fuel system, the
engine and the emission control system.
Refuel only with unleaded, sulphur-free

spark-ignition engine fuel.
Spark‑ignition engine fuel can contain up to
25% ethanol by volume.

You can obtain further information on compat-
ible fuels at a qualified specialist workshop.
You will also find the compatibility marks on
the fuel dispensers or pump nozzles suitable
for your vehicle throughout Europe.
Never refuel with one of the following fuels:
Diesel
R
Regular petrol with an octane number
R
lower than 91 RON
Petrol with more than 3% methanol by vol-
R
ume, e.g. M15, M30
Petrol with metallic additives
R
If you have accidentally refuelled with the
wrong fuel:
Do not switch on the vehicle.

The following compatibility marks for fuel may
apply to your vehicle:

If the available fuel is not sufficiently low in sul-
phur, it may produce unpleasant odours.
The recommended octane number for your vehi-
cle can be found on the information label on the
fuel filler flap.
If the recommended fuel is not available, you may
also temporarily use regular unleaded petrol with
an octane number of at least 91 RON. This may
