A.S.E.S.
(Auto Synchro Editing System)
For automatic recording of a CD to a cassette tape. This unit offers
two kinds of A.S.E.S. operation.
When using with a CD CDV_LD player, refer to the CD CDV LD player's
operating instructions for details concerning A.S.E.S. operation.
A.S.E.S. operation
e The numbers are the CD track numbers.
NORMAL:
© |f the recording is finished in the middle of a track at the end of side
A, that track will be recorded from the beginning on side B.
Leader tape
¢{f the CD player is operating in a programmed mode, then A.S.E.S.
proceeds with the programmed song order.
The NORMAL mode provides a blank space of about 5 seconds
between songs.
FINE:
¢ Before recording, the CD player calculates which songs and how
many will fit on your selected tape length (COMPU PGM) to
minimize empty end-of-tape space.

When recording starts in the forward direction (>); at the end of the
tape, the tape reverses and recording resumes in the reverse (<4)
direction.
_In the A.S.E.S. modes, a silent passage about five seconds long is
inserted between tracks during recording.
[NORMAL]
1. Put a disc in the CD player.
2. Put a cassette tape to be recorded in Deck Il.
3. Set DOLBY NR switch to the desired position.
4. To record the sound passed through the graphic equalizer,
turn on GEO ON/OFF button and adjust the sound quality.
5. Press the ASES button.
If tape remains, you can change CD and continue recording by
using A.S.E.S.
Perform 1—5, A.S.E.S. will finish temporarily.
. Change CD.
7. Press REC PAUSE button.
The Direction Indicator part of the display will flash in the
direction of tape travel and recording will begin in that
direction.
8. Press ASES button to start to LINK A.S.E.S.

@ With LINK A.S.E.S., if the CD playing time is shorter than the
tape, A.S.E.S. will finish in the REC PAUSE condition. If you wish
to continue and record a different CD, change CD and press the
ASES button.

Pour l'enregistrement automatique d'un disque compact sur une
bande cassette. Cette unité offre deux sortes d'opération A.S.E.S.
Lors d'une utilisation avec un lecteur CD CDV LD, se reporter au
mode d'emploi du lecteur CD CDV LD pour les détails concernant la
fonction A.S.E.S.

@ Les numéros sont ceux des numéros de pistes du disque compact.
NORMAL:
@ Si l'enregistrement se termine au milieu d'une piste a la fin de la
face A, cette piste est enregistrée depuis le début sur la face B.

@ Si la section lecteur de disque compact fonctionne dans un mode
programmé, la fonction A.S.E.S. s'exécute avec 'ordre
programmé.
@Le mode NORMAL fournit un espace vierge d'environ cing
secondes entre les morceaux.
FINE:
e Avant l'enregistrement, le lecteur de disque compact calcule quels
morceaux et combien pourront étre enregistrés sur la longueur de
bande sélectionnée (COMPU PGM) afin de minimiser |'espace vide
en fin de bande.

Lorsque |'enregistrement commence dans la direction avant (>); a
la fin de la bande celle-ci s'inverse et l''enregistrement reprend dans
la direction opposée (<4).
Dans les modes A.S.E.S., un passage silencieux de cing secondes
est inséré entre chaque piste durant l'enregistrement.
[NORMAL]
1. Placer un disque dans le lecteur de disque compact.
2. Mettre une cassette a enregistrer dans la Platine Il.
3. Régler le commutateur DOLBY NR sur Ia position désirée.
4. Pour enregistrer le son qui est passé par Il'égaliseur
graphique, mettre la touche GEQ ON/OFF en circuit (ON) et
régier la qualité du son.
5. Appuyer sur la touche ASES.
Si la bande n'est pas terminée, il est possible de changer de
disques compacts et de continuer a enregistrer en utilisant
\'A.S.E.S.
Effectuer les opérations 1—5, la fonction A.S.E.S. se termine
provisoirement.
6. Changer de disque compact.
7 Appuyer sur la touche REC PAUSE.
© La partie indicateur de direction de l'affichage clignote dans le
sens du défilement de la bande et I'enregistrement commence
dans ce sens.
8. Appuyer sur la touche ASES pour démarrer la fonction
A.S.E.S. enchainé (LINK A.S.E.S.).

@ Avec la fonction LINK A.S.E.S, si la durée de reproduction du
disque compact est plus courte que celle de la bande, I'A.S.E.S.
se termine dans le mode de pause d'enregistrement (REC
PAUSE). Pour continuer et enregistrer un disque compact
différent, changer les disques compacts et appuyer sur la
touche ASES.
© Dans le cas suivant, I'A.S.E.S. se termine dans le mode d'arrét:
Si la durée de reproduction du disque compact est plus
longue que celle de la bande.
