MEMORIZING YOUR USUAL LISTENING
| SETTINGS (SMART OPERATION)
This function lets you recall your usual listening settings (usual
operation switch and knob settings) at the push of a button. Press
the START/SET button, and the unit searches for an audio source
that is ready to play, and automatically switches functions before
starting playback from that source.
Programming the setting
1. Select the appropriate settings to be stored.
2. Press the SMART OPERATION MEMORY button.
3. Press the START/SET button within 5 seconds.
4. The SMART OPERATION indicator will go off.
OTE:
Volume will be memorized at the setting that exists when
memorization takes place. However, high volume settings above the
near center position cannot be memorized (XD-J220/DC-J221 only).
Recalling the memory
Set to playback from the source you want to listen to.
©\|f you have memorized TAPE in SMART OPERATION, load a
tape.
elf you have memorized CD, load a CD in the CD tray.
Press the START/SET button.
@ When playback with a memorized function is not possible (for
example, when CD has been memorized and there is no CD in
the tray), search for the next audio source and operate
manually in the same way as before programming the memory.

NOTE:
If the program source is not set for a programmed function, the
program stops at this function.
SLEEP TIMER ——Automatically turns off power.
Sleep timer can be activated by remote control unit only. Power is
turned off automatically after your set time has elapsed.
Each time you press the SLEEP button, the setting changes in the
sequence shown here.

During CD play, tape recording and playback, if you press the SLEEP
button and select "AUTO", power to the unit is automatically
switched off when recording and playback have finished.
During relay playback, power is switched off when playback has
finished on one deck.
e During SLEEP operation, if you press the SLEEP button twice,
sleep timer remaining time is displayed. If you press it once more,
sleep timer time settings change.

MEMORISATION DES REGLAGES
D'ECOUTE HABITUELS
(FONCTIONNEMENT INTELLIGENT)
Cette fonction permet de rappeler les réglages d'écoute habituels
(touche de fonctionnement habituel et réglages de touches) par
pression d'une touche.
Appuyer sur la touche START/SET, l'unité recherche la source audio
qui est préte 4 étre reproduite et commute automatiquement les
fonctions avant de commencer a reproduire a partir de cette source.
Programmation des réglages
Sélectionner les réglages appropriés 4 mettre en mémoire.
. Appuyer sur la touche SMART OPERATION MEMORY.
. Appuyer sur la touche START/SET en moins de 5 secondes.
. L'indicateur SMART OPERATION s'éteint.
REMARQUE:
Le volume sera mémorisé au réglage qui existe lorsque la
mémorisation s'effectue. Des réglages de haut volume, au-dessus
de vers la position centrale, ne peuvent cependant pas étre
mémorisés. (XD-J220/DC-J221 seulement)
Rappel de la mémoire
Régler la reproduction en provenance de la source désirée.
@ Si TAPE a été mémorisé dans SMART OPERATION, charger une
bande.
eSi CD a été mémorisé, charger un disque compact sur le plateau
du lecteur.
. Appuyer sur la touche START/SET.
© Lorsque la reproduction avec une fonction mémorisée nest pas
possible (par exemple, quand CD a été mémorisé et qu'il n'y a
pas de disque compact dans le plateau), la recherche
commence pour la source audio suivante et fonctionne
manuellement de la méme maniére qu'avant de programmer la
mémoire.
REMARQUE:
Si la source de programme n'est pas réglée pour une fonction
programmeée, le programme s'arréte 4 cette fonction.

MINUTERIE SOMMEIL
— Met automatiquement hors tension.
La minuterie sommeil (SLEEP TIMER) ne peut étre activée que par
unite de télécommande. L'alimentation est automatiquement
coupée aprés que la durée réglée s'est écoulée.
Chaque fois que vous sur la touche sommeil (SLEEP) est enfoncée le
réglage se modifie comme suit.

Pendant la reproduction d'un disque compact, etl'enregistrementet
la reproduction d'une bande, si la touche SLEEP est enfoncée et
"AUTO" sélectionnés; lalimentation a Il'appareil est
automatiquement coupée lorsque I'enregistrement et la
reproduction sont terminés.
Pendantla reproduction 4a relais, l'alimentation est coupée lorsque la
reproduction s'est terminée sur une platine.
@ Pendant la fonction SLEEP, si la touche SLEEP est enfoncée deux
fois, la durée restante de la minuterie d'arrét automatique est
affichée. Si cette touche est enfoncée une fois de plus, les reglages
de durée de la minuterie d'arrét automatique changent.
