Changing the enclosure of the redundant power supply unit 700 W
Requirement
• You know the important safety instructions under "Safety instructions on device and
system extensions (Page 47)".
• An original spare part, i.e. an enclosure of the same type. You can find information on
spare parts under "Hardware accessories (Page 32)".
• Screwdriver TORX T10
• Diagonal cutter
Procedure
1. Fully disconnect the device from the line voltage, see "Switching off the device (Page 74)".
2. Remove both modules of the redundant power supply unit (Page 134).
3. Open the device. Be sure to follow the important instructions under "Open the device
(Page 93)".
4. Disconnect the power cables from the drives and the motherboard.
5. Remove the cable ties securing the power cables in the enclosure of the device.
6. Remove the four fixing screws that are marked in the figure below.
7. Pull the enclosure of the redundant power supply unit upward and out of the device.
8. Install the new enclosure.
9. Secure the enclosure with the screws shown.
10.Connect the cables to the drives and the motherboard.
11.Replace the two modules of the redundant power supply unit and push them to the rear
edge of the enclosure until they click into place.
12.Insert the power plugs into the sockets of the inserted modules.
13.Check the safe state of the device.
