Filtration
3.3.1 Introduction
The FQG80T/100T/120T filtration system allows the oil in one frypot to be safely and efficiently fil-
tered while the other frypots in a battery remain in operation.
Section 3.3.2 covers preparation of the filter system for use. Operation of the system is covered in
the FQ4000 easyTouch FQ80/100/120 Chicken Controller Operation Manual .
The on-site supervisor is responsible for ensuring that operators are made aware of the
inherent hazards of operating a hot oil filtering system, particularly the aspects of oil
filtration, draining and cleaning procedures.
The filter envelope MUST be replaced daily.
3.3.2
Preparing the FQG80T/100T/120T with Filtration System for Use with Filter Leaf
Envelope Assembly
The FQG80T/100T/120T with fingertip filtration system allows the oil in one frypot to be safely
and efficiently filtered while the other frypots in a battery remain in operation. The
FQG80T/100T/120T filtration system uses a leaf filter screen configuration with a Magnesol fil-
ter envelope.
1. Pull the filter pan out from the cabinet
and remove the filter leaf assembly by
lifting on the pick-up tube assembly
(see Figure 1).
2. Clean as directed in section 3.3.3.
NOTE: Refer to Section 3.3.3 for in-
structions on how to disassemble
and reassemble the filter leaf
screen assembly.

3. Inspect the filter pan connection fitting
to ensure that both O-rings are pre-
sent and in good condition. (See Fig-
ure 2).
