Head Alignment - Roland VersaEXPRESS RF-640 Service Notes

4-3 HEAD ALIGNMENT (Referential Time : 15 min.)
This is necessary to obtain the good printing quality. Be sure to operate this alignment when the head is replaced.
If the heads are not aligned, printing problems such as banding, fi ne lines and gap between bands could occur.
The PET-G is required for this alignment.
Please DO NOT use Take-Up Unit for this alignment.
Remove the Right Cover and Right Top Cover.

Open the Front Cover and move the Head Carriage leftwards

to the position where it is not above the Capping Unit.
Remove the Head Carriage Cover.

Lock the Head Carriage.
The Head Carriage Cover has six screws.
