SENSOR AUTOTEST
This is for adjusting output level of Paper Side Sensor.
1. Adjust the output voltage which is shown at OUTPUT LEVEL within the range between 0.35V and 0.45V.
*Attach the right media clamp with aligning the right edge of the media clamp to the Media Guide Line.
Make sure the media clamp is attached correctly.
*As entering the menu, the Carriage automatically moves to the place where the Paper Side Sensor reads the silver tape
of the Media Clamp.
*Adjust the VR(VR1) on the Carriage Board while checking the output voltage shown on the LCD.
* Lower the Pinch Roll Lever.
2. Carry out SENSOR AUTOTEST.
3. Test and adjustment is completed if the result is as follows.
Output voltage: 0.5V or under.
NOISE: 0
Need re-adjustment if the result is out of above.
* In case of NOISE > 0
There is a possibility that the reflection tape is not clean, or having noise due to wrinkle.
Clean up the reflection tape or replace the new one, then do it again from the step one.
In case of Output voltage >0.5V
There is a possibility that the reflection tape is not clean.
Clean up the reflection tape. If there is scratch, replace it with a new one, then do it again from step 1.
Note:
*The voltage value indicates the voltage of 95% of the whole scanned reflection tape is below the displayed voltage.
* NOISE indicates the number of places where 2.5V is detected more than 0.5mm.
The places can be found out by checking the position when the machine beeps.
When is the Paper Side Sensor adjustment necessary? ;
*In case Paper Side Sensor is replaced, or the part which the sensor is attached on is replaced or adjusted.
*In case Carriage Unit is replaced, or VR is rotated.
