3.5 Document exit section
3.5.1 Document exit mechanism
• The document reading motor provides the drive for the document exit roller. (the same drive source as that for the document reading
section)
• As the document exit roller rotates forward, the original fed off from the document reading section is fed into the document exit tray.
• The original is exited to be detected by the document exit sensor.

3.5.2 Faxed document stamp function
• Mounting optional "Stamp unit SP-501" allows a stamp to be placed on a faxed document.
• The stamp solenoid located upstream of the document exit roller is energized when the original is about to be fed out and the stamp
mounted on the solenoid plunger is pressed against the surface of the original. This places a faxed mark (+) on the surface of the original.
• This function is enabled when "System2/Stamp/Set*1 (default setting: Unset)" is turned ON using the Service Mode and the user selects
"Application/TX Stamp*2 (default setting: OFF)" on the "Scan/Fax" screen.
• This function is not used for "Copy" or "Scan".
