FPGA_CORE Upgrade
If upgrading the FPGA failed, perform the following procedure to upgrade the FPGA_CORE.
Equipment required
• Personal computer (PC)
OS: Windows 7 or Windows8, Windows8.1
• Service harness: CABLE (2) ASSY, ISP CONVERSION (Part No.: A-1733-365-A)
• USB blaster cable: USB Blaster Cable (made by Altera, Rev. C or later)
• Writing software: Quartus II programmer (made by Altera, v10.0 Build 218 or later)
Tip
• Contact Altera about details of the writing software available free of charge.
• Version 15.2 or later version of the writing software (Quartus II programmer) may not run normally. In that case,
use version 15.1 or older.
• For obtaining the upgrade data, contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
Preparation
1.
Install the writing software on PC.
2.
Copy the upgrade data to PC.
Note
Do not use Japanese for file path and directory name.
3.
Turn off the unit and remove the rear cover assembly.
4.
Connect the PC to CN102 on the YD board with the service harness and the USB blaster cable.

Startup the writing software.
