Disassembly

Remove the housing cover plate from the case by removing the
capscrews and split lock washers. Discard the gasket and clean
both surfaces. Figure 5.3.

Remove and discard the lock wire from the high/low shift shaft

Remove the shift fork bolts using a double square socket. Figure
5.5.

Remove the high-low shift cylinder cap bolts. Then remove the
cylinder cap and cylinder sleeve by sliding them off the piston.
