4.16.2 Repair procedures

To remove the outdoor unit heat exchanger
Service manual

Prerequisite: Stop the unit operation via the user interface.
Prerequisite: Turn OFF the respective circuit breaker.
Prerequisite: Remove the required plate work, see
Prerequisite: Recuperate the refrigerant from the refrigerant circuit, see
"5.2.2 Repair
procedures" [
1 If needed, remove any parts to create more space for the removal of the heat
exchanger.
2 Remove the putty and insulation from the appropriate piping.
3 Remove the heat exchanger thermistor and air thermistor from their holder.
4 Remove the screws and remove the guard nets from the unit.

5 Remove the 2 screws and remove the support plate.
6 Supply nitrogen to the refrigerant circuit. The nitrogen pressure MUST NOT
exceed 0.02 MPa.
7 Wrap a wet rag around the components near the heat exchanger pipes. Heat
the brazing point of the heat exchanger pipes using an oxygen acetylene torch
and remove the heat exchanger pipes from the refrigerant pipes using pliers.
