QMS DeskLaser 1600P User Manual
There are two memory expansion slots available. The expansion card can
have so called SIMMs (up to two times 32 MB). Together with the
controller's board fixed memory of 4MB, these expansion options offer a
range of RAM from 4 (no SIMM installed) to 68 MB (both SIMM slots
equipped with 32 MB).
Notice:
The QMS DeskLaser 1600P is equipped with one 8 MB SIMM
installed. The QMS DeskLaser 1600P/Net and 1600P/XNet are
equipped with two 8 MB SIMMs installed.

To install the RAM card, first make sure the printer is turned off and
follow these steps:
Cover, removed
Use upper two
ivory connectors
1. Open the upper door and
right side cover of the printer.
You will see a small cover on
the metal plate. Remove the
fastening screw and the cover.
You can now see three
connectors (upper two ivory
ones for RAM cards).
2. Orient the RAM card. Hold
the card with the cut corner
down and facing left and
insert the card aslant into
connector.
