Possible Causes
Disk drive failure in one of the
drive trays
Corrective Action
Check appropriate software and
documentation to make sure system
is set up correctly or proper
command was executed.
Make sure all power switches are
turned on.
Check cables and connectors
between the host, controller module,
and drive trays.
1. Check for a Fault LED on the front
panel. If one is lit, go to Step 2. If not,
go to next cause.
2. Check the canisters for fault LEDs.
Replace the failed controller (or other
failed unit).
Replace the controller card cage (call
service technician).
Replace host adapter.
Corrective Action
Replace the failed disk drive.
