Replacing the Heating Element

Caution: The heating element may be extremely hot! Make sure the element
has cooled to a safe temperature before attempting to remove it.
With the water tank lid removed, remove the hex nuts (and washers) used to secure
the heating element to the tank lid.
Insert the new heating element through the bottom of the tank lid, and secure it to the
top using the large hex nuts and washers.
Re-install the tank lid by pushing it onto the water tank body until it is securely in place.
Reconnect the wiring to the components on the tank lid.
