The EPL-N2000 control panel consists of a liquid crystal display,
indicator lights, and buttons. The display and lights keep you
informed about the printer's current status. You can use the
buttons to select settings and functions.
Most of the time you control your printer's functions using
software. You may, however, need to perform some operations
through the printer's control panel (For example, some settings
cannot be changed using software.) Note that software settings
always override control panel settings.

Reading the Indicator Lights

The control panel has two sets of indicator lights, as shown on
the illustration above. The lights on the panel's left side indicate
the current mode. When you choose one of these modes, you can
use the buttons on the control panel to choose various printer
settings, which are defined later in this chapter.
