Transporting the Printer

If you need to transport or ship the printer, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the
electrical outlet.
2. Disconnect all interface cables.
3. Remove the imaging cartridge and place it in a sealable
plastic bag. Make sure to seal the bag to protect your printer
and clothing from spilled toner.

Caution:
Do not expose the imaging cartridge to light any longer than
necessary.
4. If you installed a lower paper cassette, lift the printer off the
cassette.
5. If you installed a Duplex Unit, remove it. (See Chapter 4 for
instructions.)
6. Pack the printer, cartridge, Duplex Unit, and any optional
cassettes in their original packing materials, or the
equivalent.
