The power switch and FEED button can also be used to start the self
test.

Indicator lights

The control panel lights provide information on printer conditions.
POWER (Green)
The POWER light is on when the printer power is on.
RECEIPT OUT (Red)
This light is on when the paper roll is at the end or near the end.
This light blinks in the following cases. When it blinks, press the
FEED button.
In the self-test standby state
VALIDATION (Green)
The light is on when validation paper is inserted and the printer is
ready to print. The light blinks when the printer is in the validation
insertion/removal waiting state.
ERROR (Red)
This light is on when the printer is off line (except during paper
feed using the FEED button and during the self-test). It blinks to
indicate an error condition.
The blinking pattern shown below indicates that the temperature
of the print head is too high. The printer recovers automatically
and resumes printing when the head cools.
