Align the driveline coupling joint fl ange to the vehicle rear
drive fl ange according to the reference marks made during
removal. The driveline must be reinstalled with the same
phasing.

Install the fasteners and washers to secure the coupling joint
fl ange to the vehicle rear drive fl ange. Figure 5.103. Due to
tight clearances, some applications may require the bolt to
be inserted from the yoke fl ange side without a washer and
secured with a nut on the drive fl ange side. Figure 5.104.
Tighten the fasteners to 133-163 lb-ft (180-220 Nm).
