SMDI link options between CallPilot and
the switch
The SMDI link is a data link between the COM 2 port on the CallPilot
server and the MPC port on the switch. The SMDI link transports incoming
call information and MWI control messages.
If the CallPilot server is close to the switch (the criteria are listed in this
section), the SMDI link can be a direct cable connection between the server
and the switch. For longer distances, use a modem connection.
