IOC shelf versus an IOM (NTFX30AA) — criteria for a direct
cable connection
The criteria for direct cable connection depends on whether the switch has
an IOC shelf or an Input Output Module (IOM).
With an IOC shelf, the CallPilot server must be installed within 15.25 m (50
ft) of the switch for a direct cable connection. For longer distances, a
modem connection is required.
With an IOM, the CallPilot server must be installed within 230 m (750 ft) of
the switch for a direct cable connection. For longer distances, a modem
connection is required.
