Step 9 Connect I/O,
J3 Parallel and Serial Port Combination J3 combines a parallel port and two serial ports. Each port is
described in the following sections.
J3A Parallel Port J3A is a 25-pin connector for a parallel port. The J3A pinout is shown below. The parallel
port interface supports:
the standard Centronics-compatible parallel port,
the ECP (Extended Capabilities Port), and
the EPP (Enhanced Parallel Port) port.
All parallel port settings must be correctly configured through the Advanced menu (Port
Configuration subscreen) in AMIBIOS Setup.
