removed from the product. If not, the fault can not be
found and there will be contaminations in the test
equipment. It is also possible that the sent component is
not the fault and is thus sent back without repair.
The points below must be obeyed when doing work on
hydraulic systems:
Clean the transmission as necessary.
Keep the work area free from dust and other
contaminations in the air with a plastic cloth.
Make the work area clean with white spirit. To only
clean the parts that are disassembled is not
sufficient. Tools and areas from where dirt can fall
onto the point of entry while work is in progress must
be cleaned. Clean the work area with an applicable
brush, use a cloth to dry the work area. If it is
necessary, clean the work area again. Before you
disassemble, spray the hose connections and the
area on the product with white spirit.
Apply applicable protection immediately after all
pipes and hoses have been removed. Components
(also exchanged), hoses and pipes must have
protection.
The parts included in pipe fixtures must be replaced
or cleaned in white spirit and blown clean with
compressed air before being attached.
Keep the parts clean when measuring the pressure.
Spray the two couplings parts with white spirit before

connecting. Make sure the protection is clean before
using it.
9.5.4 Hydraulic couplings, pipes and hoses
Use 2 tools to loosen and tighten hoses. Use one tool as
a counterhold to get a minimum of tension and turning
force in the hose. A counterhold prevents hairline cracks
to elbow nipples.
When assembling hydraulic lines, first tighten until the
tapers connect and there is wrench resistance. Then
tighten one and a half flats from wrench resistance. Do
not tighten more.
Always do a check and note how hose, lines and pipes
are tightened on the product before loosening or
disassembling. They must always be attached with the
same tightening torque. Information about tightening
torques can be found in the spare parts list.
Make sure that hoses and lines go clear of locations
where they can be worn. Always do a check for leakage
after attaching hoses, lines or pipes.
Pressure to the hydraulic system is given by the pump of
the drive system. A pressure valve sets the system
pressure to a maximum limit of 30 bar/435 PSI.
There is a filter in the hydraulic tank for the suction pipe
of the pump.
