2.1 Installation
2.1.1 Mounting location
The ideal mounting location is a dry space, such as the boiler room.
The permissible ambient temperature is 0...50 °C.
When the mounting location is selected, the RVP540 / RVP550 can be fitted in one of
the following ways:
• In the control cabinet, on an inner wall or on a DIN mounting rail
• On a panel
• In the front of the control cabinet
• In the sloping front of a control desk
2.1.2 Mounting methods
The RVP540 / RVP550 is designed for 3 different mounting methods:
• Wall mounting: The base is secured to a flat wall with the help of 3 screws.
• Rail mounting: The base is fitted to a DIN rail.
• Flash panel mounting: The base is inserted in a cutout measuring 92 x 138 mm
(+1 mm / −0 mm). The maximum thickness of the front panel is 3 mm.
2.1.3 Installation
• The cable lengths should be chosen such that the control panel door can be easily
opened.
• Cable strain relief must be ensured.
• The measuring circuits carry extra low-voltage.
• The connecting lines from the controller to the actuating devices and pumps carry
mains voltage.
Detector cables should not be run parallel to mains cables (e.g. cables powering the
pump).
