4.115 Strategy for the wood-fired boiler

• Strategy for the wood-fired boiler can be selected
The strategy for the wood-fired boiler permits selection of the boiler temperature set-
point according to which the wood-fired boiler shall be operated.
Setting range
0 / 1
There are 2 strategies for the wood-fired boiler available (use the + / - buttons to select
the required strategy):
0 Boiler temperature setpoint constant
The pump of the wood-fired boiler is controlled based on the criteria defined on
operating lines 370 and 371.
If a mixing valve is installed, it will be used for the maintained return tempera-
ture control.
1 Boiler temperature setpoint depending on demand
With mixing valve:
The pump of the wood-fired boiler is controlled based on the criteria defined on
operating lines 370 and 371.
The mixing valve is used for both the maintained return temperature control
and flow temperature control (boiler temperature) and releases the water of the
boiler circuit to the plant only when both the required boiler temperature set-
point (for display, see operating line 350) and the minimum return temperature
(operating line 380
Without mixing valve:
The pump of the wood-fired boiler is controlled based on the criteria defined on
operating lines 370 and 371 and is also used for flow temperature control
(boiler temperature).
The pump will be activated when both the required boiler temperature setpoint
and the "Minimum boiler temperature for release of the pump" (sum of both
values on operating lines 370 and 371) are reached.
The boiler temperature setpoint used (for display, see operating line 350) is the
higher of the 2 following values:
• Setting on operating line 370 (minimum boiler temperature for release of the
pump)
• Heat demand from the d.h.w. or buffer storage tank while giving considera-
tion to the priority
