3. Hold the front cover of the steering column in a
vertical position and lift it.
4. Install in opposite sequence.
9.1.1.18 To remove and install the lower steering
column cover
1. Remove the frame tunnel cover, the footrest plates
and the front cover of the steering column. Refer to

2. Remove the 2 screws and remove the lower steering
column cover.
3. Install in opposite sequence.

9.1.1.19 To remove and install the rear cover of the
steering column
1. Remove the frame tunnel cover, the footrest plates
and the front cover of the steering column. Refer to

2. Remove the 2 screws on each side of the steering
column and remove the rear cover of the steering
column.
3. Install in opposite sequence.
9.1.1.20 To remove and install the fuel tank cover
1. Open the engine cover. Refer to

9.1.2.1 To do a check of the throttle cable
Make sure that the engine speed changes when the
throttle is changed. Do a check that the engine gets the
correct speed at full throttle. See
