ROASTED SESAME
GREEN BEANS
INGREDIENTS
1 lb. green beans, stem ends snapped off
1 tbsp. olive oil
Salt and black pepper
1 tbsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. minced fresh ginger
2 tsp. honey
½
tsp. toasted sesame oil
¼
tsp. hot red pepper flakes
4 tsp. toasted sesame seeds
Preheat the oven.
Toss the green beans with olive oil, salt and pepper to taste in the baking pan.
Change the mode to Steam Convection and cook as indicated.
Meanwhile combine garlic, ginger, honey, sesame oil and hot red pepper flakes in
a small bowl. After 10 minutes, remove pan from oven and using tongs, coat beans
evenly with garlic/ginger mixture. Redistribute beans in an even layer and return to
the steam and convection oven for 5 – 7 minutes longer or until beans are roasted in
spots and on the tips.
Taste for seasoning, transfer to serving bowl and garnish with sesame seeds.
