3. Remove the flywheel ring gear
Hold the ring gear firmly in a soft-faced vice.
Pry off the ring gear using a screwdriver. If nec-
essary, split the ring gear at the drilled hole.
Clean the contact surfaces of the flywheel.
4. Fit the new ring gear
Check the temperature.
Position the ring gear so that it meets the
flywheel flange.
If necessary tap the ring gear down to the
bottom. Use a brass drift.
Let the ring gear cool.
