Flywheel ring gear, changing

1. Heat the new ring gear to Max 210°C (410°F)
Use an oven or gas torch.
If you use an oven, put in the new ring gear in
advance.
If you use a gas torch, heat the ring gear
immediately before you install it.
2. Drill a hole between two teeth.
Use a 10 mm (0.4") drill.
Drill a 9 mm (0.35") deep hole.
IMPORTANT! Be careful not to drill on the fly-
wheel, if you do it will loose its balance.
