Fuses

Replace fuses
ATTENTION
Jumpering of blown fuses
Risk of short-circuit and fire
Never attempt to jumper a
blown fuse.
Always replace a defective fuse
with a new fuse of the same
amperage.
Switch off the ignition.
Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the motor-
cycle on its stand.
Removing seat (
62).
Press latch 1 on both sides.
Remove fuse box 2.
Consult the fuse assignment
diagram below and replace the
defective fuse.
NOTICE
If fuse defects recur frequently
have the electric circuits checked
by a specialist workshop,
preferably an authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer.
Reinsert fuse box 2. Make sure
that latch 1 engages on both
sides.

Fuse 1
15 A (Master relay, diagnosis
plug, instrument cluster, anti-
theft alarm, ignition switch)
Fuse 2
7.5 A (Lap trigger, left multi-
function switch, sensor box)
