Install screw 1.
LED rear light
If LEDs in the rear light fail the
rear light has to be replaced. Un-
der these circumstances:
Seek the advice of a specialist
workshop, preferably an author-
ised BMW Motorrad dealer.
Number plate light
If the LEDs for the number plate
light in the rear light fail the rear
light has to be replaced. Under
these circumstances:
Seek the advice of a specialist
workshop, preferably an author-
ised BMW Motorrad dealer.

Trim panel components

Remove the side panel
NOTICE
The procedure described here
for the right side apply applies by
analogy to the left side panel.
Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the motor-
cycle on its stand.
Remove screw 1 from the in-
board side of the side panel.
Disengage fairing side panel 2
from slip-in retainers 3 and re-
taining clips 4.
Remove the side panel.
