Fuel Tank
How to Remove the Fuel Tank
Explosion and fire hazard.
Engine fuels are combustible.
Perform this procedure in an
open, well-ventilated area away
from heaters, sparks, flames and
lighted tobacco. Always have an
approved fire extinguisher within
easy reach.

transferring fuel, connect a
grounding wire between the
machine and pump or container.
Explosion and fire hazard. Never
drain or store fuel in an open
container due to the possibility of
fire.

Remove the fuel filler cap from the tank.

Using an approved hand-operated pump,
drain the fuel tank into a suitable container.
Refer to Specifications, Machine
Specifications.
Note: Be sure to only use a hand operated pump
suitable for use with gasoline and/or diesel fuel.

Tag, disconnect and plug the fuel supply and
return hoses from the fuel tank.

Clean up any fuel that may have spilled.

Loosen the fuel tank mounting strap fastener.
Pull the tank strap to the side.
Note: Do not remove the tank strap.

Remove the fuel tank from the machine.
Component damage hazard.
During installation, do not
overtighten the fuel tank strap
mounting fastener.
Note: Clean the fuel tank and inspect for cracks or
other damage before installing.
