ISO
ISO is a unit derived from traditional (non-digital) photography that determines the sensitivity of the
photographic material (film). Equivalent to these values, the sensitivity of the sensor of your camera can be
set. Use a smaller value for a lower sensitivity, or select a higher value to obtain a higher sensitivity to
light. The set value is indicated on the display (13).
A higher ISO value allows it to take pictures under bad lighting conditions. However the picture
will result more grainy. A grainy or noisy picture is the result of a technical restriction resulting in
colour distortion for single pixels or pixel groups.

You can define an exposure compensation value for photo capturing.

-1/3 to -2.0
After you exit the menu the preview image on the display (13) will change accordingly so that you can
quickly see how the current setting looks like.

If the picture is too dark, select a positive value for exposure compensation.
If the picture is too bright, select a negative value for exposure compensation.
