7.3.1

Maintenance Bypass Mode (Optional)

The Parallel Capacity/Redundant system can be manually transferred to
maintenance bypass if the System Maintenance Bypass (SMB) has been provided.
Maintenance bypass is used when the system is not operating or is in need of
service. The maintenance bypass source supplies the commercial AC power to the
load directly.
Figure 7−4 shows the path of electrical power through the Parallel Capacity/
Redundant system when operating in Maintenance Bypass mode.
