10.4 Transfer to Maintenance Bypass

NOTE: Refer to Appendix A for location of Maintenance Bypass key switch.
1.
Ensure power is supplied to the MBP breaker input before attempting transfer
to maintenance bypass.
2.
On 1200A SBM, ensure SBM is on bypass. On 2000A SBM ensure that SBM
CBS breaker is open or system is not on inverter.
3.
On SBM, turn the Maintenance Bypass key switch to the left (To Maintenance)
momentarily.
4.
Observe MBP closes and MIS opens. System is now on maintenance bypass.
5.
To shutdown SBM and UPMs, follow procedure under SBM Shutdown to
Bypass.
6.
On SBM, open CBP and FBP breakers.

10.5 Transfer from Maintenance Bypass

NOTE: Refer to Appendix A for location of Maintenance Bypass key switch.
1.
If system was shutdown, follow Manual Start or Auto Start procedure to start
system.
2.
Ensure SBM is on bypass.
3.
On SBM, turn the Maintenance Bypass key switch to the right
(From Maintenance) momentarily.
4.
Observe MIS closes and MBP opens. System is now in normal mode.

WARNING
Power is present at SBM, CBP , and FBP inputs until upstream
SBM bypass input feeder circuit breaker is opened.
