The operations for each setting when a communication error occurs are described below.
1) I/O operation halt status [1]
- System register No. 27: 0 (Halt operation)
- Mode selector switch SW1/7: OFF (Halt operation)
[Operation]
- All I/O operation: Halt
- "COMM. LED(COM. LED)" on the normal master station and slave station: Slowly flashing (1-second
cycle) (A communication error occurred.)
[Step to take]
Turn off the power supply to the master station. After eliminating the cause of the communication error
(such as diesconnected communication cable), power up again.
2) I/O operation halt status [2]
- System register No. 27: 0 (Halt operation)
- Mode selector switch SW1/7: ON (Continue operation)
[Operation]
- All I/O operation: Halt
- "COMM. LED(COM. LED)" on the normal master station and slave station: Flashing (at normal speed,
0.2-second cycle)
[Step to take]
After eliminating the cause of the communication error (such as disconnected communication cable),
initialize the master station in the RUN mode.
3) Remote I/O operation halt mode
- System register No. 27: 1 (Continue operation)
- Mode selector switch SW1/7: OFF (Halt operation)
[Operation]
- Remote I/O operation: HaltI/O operation of I/O units on master station: Continue
- "COMM. LED(COM. LED)" on the normal master station and slave station: Slowly flashing (1-second
cycle) (A communication error occurred.)
[Step to take]
Turn off the power supply to the master station. After eliminating the cause of the communication error
(such as disconnected communication cable), power up again.
4) Continue I/O operation mode
- System register No. 27: 1 (Continue operation)
- Mode selector switch SW1/7: ON (Continue operation)
[Operation]
- I/O operation of normal slave stations and normal I/O units in a master station: Continue
- "COMM. LED(COM. LED)" on the normal master station and slave station: Flashing (at normal speed,
0.2-second cycle)
[Step to take]
If the cause of the communication error (such as disconnected communication cable) is removed, the
slave station is automaticcally reconfigured and starts operation.
However, since the "ERROR LED" on the CPU remains on, the initialize switch on the CPU must be set
to be on in the RUN mode.
