11.8 Precautions When Using I/O Link Unit

Be sure to take the following notes for using the I/O link unit.
(1) Be sure to connect transmission cables and expansion cables with all power OFF.
(2) Pay attention not to allow pieces of wire or other objects to fall into the unit when making wiring
connections.
(3) Do not directly touch the terminal of expansion connector on a unit with bare hands.It may cause
damage to the devices because of static electricity.
(4) Do not drop the I/O link unit and do not apply excessive force to the unit.
(5) The unit should only be used within the specified ratings.
* The usage environment is the same as the other [MEWNET-F] components.
(6) The system should be used in a place where it will not be influenced from power transmission lines,
high voltage equipment, power cables, power equipment, hum and surge generating equipment.
(7) When installing the power supply line and communication line, wire them in separate ducts, or
maintain a clearance between those lines.
(8) If any one of product numbers, AFP3740, AFP87441, AFP87442 and AFP3741 is used in the
network, the transmission distance will be shorten as shown in the table below.
