This section describes common problems and messages.
If other messages appear, follow the instructions displayed. Refer to p.21 "Troubleshooting When Using
the Printer Function" about printing problem and printing solution.
• Check the contact address and Serial No. of Machine shown in the call service message, and then
contact your service representative.
Problem
Nothing happens when the
operation switch is turned on.
The operation switch
indicator continues blinking
and does not turn off when
pressed.
The display is off.
The display is off.
"Please wait." appears.
"Please wait." appears.

Cause
The main power switch is
turned off.
This occurs in the following
cases:
• The machine is
communicating with
external equipment.
• The hard disk is active.
The machine is in Energy
Saver mode.
The operation switch is turned
off.
This message appears when
you turn on the operation
switch.
This message appears when
the machine is warning up.
Solution
Turn on the main power switch.
Wait until the operation switch indicator
is unlit. Do not turn off the main power
switch while the operation switch
indicator is flashing.
Press the [Energy Saver] key to cancel
Energy Saver mode.
Turn on the operation switch.
Wait for a while. If the machine does not
get ready in 2 minutes, contact your
service representative.
• Wait until the message disappears.
Do not turn off the main power
switch while the message is
showing.
• Wait for a while. If the machine
does not get ready in 10 minutes,
contact your service
representative.
