NOTE:
Tightening torque
The sizes of the shutoff valves on each model and the tightening torque for each size are listed in
the table below.

To open
1. Remove the cap and turn the shaft counterclockwise with the hexagon wrench.
2. Turn it until the shaft stops.
3. Make sure to tighten the cap securely.
To close
1. Remove the cap and turn the shaft clockwise with the hexagon wrench.
2. Securely tighten the valve until the shaft contacts the main body seal.
3. Make sure to tighten the cap securely.

Shutoff valve size
VRVIII R-410A Heat Recovery 60Hz
Do not open the shutoff valve until the steps in Section 10.2.5 Checking of Device and
Installation Conditions are completed. If the shutoff valve is left open without turning on the
power, it may cause refrigerant to build up in the compressor, leading to insulation degradation.
Be sure to use the correct tools.
The shutoff valve is not a back-seat type. If forced to open, it might break the valve body.
When using a service port, use the charge hose.
After tightening the cap, make sure no refrigerant gas is leaking.
The 120P type / RXYQ144PTJU corresponds to the φ1/2 - diameter onsite
piping using the accessory pipe.
The 72P type corresponds to the φ3/4 - diameter onsite piping using the accessory pipe.
The 96P type corresponds to the φ7/8 - diameter onsite piping using the accessory pipe.
The 120P/144P type corresponds to the φ1-1/8 - diameter onsite piping using the accessory
