XTENDED ERVICE
Take notice of the following instructions to use
your air conditioner with both safety and
comfort over extended time periods.
LOCATION
1. Install both the indoor and outdoor units on a
foundation capable of fully withstanding their
weights and vibration.
2. Allow sufficient space around the air intake and
outlet to provide adequate ventilation.
3. Your air conditioner removes moisture from room air
when cooling. Allow the water to be drained
completely.
4. Avoid installing the air conditioner in a place likely to
be exposed to an inflammable gas.
5. The air conditioner is liable to accelerate failure
when used in certain special environments such as
places containing oils (including machine oils), salt
(as on coastal areas), and sulphide gas (as in
spas). The air conditioner, when installed in these
places, requires special maintenance. Check with
your dealer.
6. Locate the outdoor unit where its airflow and
operating noise will not cause a nuisance to your
neighbours.
7. Avoid installing the outdoor unit where strong winds
could hit the air outlet.
WIRING
1. Be sure to keep your air conditioner earthed to
protect against electrical shock hazards. Check with
your dealer for further details.
2. Operate the air conditioner from a dedicated power
source.
3. Relevant codes of practice or regulations require the
installation of a circuit breaker. Check with your
dealer or electrical contractor.
4. When the power fuse blows out, replace with a fuse
with the same rating. Never substitute a wire (of any
material), which could cause a malfunction or even
fire.
CAUTION
All earthing and bonding must comply to local
regulations. Check the regulations before making any
earthing connections.
RELOCATION
Special techniques are involved in relocating the air
conditioner. Relocation service is available at cost from
your dealer.

Il est conseillé de respecter les instructions ci-
après, afin de bénéficier d'une utilisation fiable
et sûre de l'appareil pendant de nombreuses
années.
EMPLACEMENT
1. Installer les unités intérieure et extérieure sur des
fondations appropriés, capables de supporter le
poids des équipements et de résister à leurs
vibrations.
2. Prévoir un espace suffisant autour des orifices
d'admission et de sortie d'air pour assurer une
ventilation adéquate.
3. Le rôle du climatiseur consiste à éliminer l'humidité
de l'air en mode "refroidissement". Prévoir un
système de vidange d'eau.
4. Eviter d'installer l'appareil dans un endroit
susceptible d'être exposé à des gaz inflammables.
5. Le conditionneur d'air subira des défaillances
prématurées s'il est utilisé dans des environnements
spéciaux, entre autres : atmosphères contenant des
huiles (y compris des huiles de machine), des sels
(régions côtières), et des gaz à base de soufre
(stations thermales, par ex.). Dans de tels cas,
l'appareil nécessitera une maintenance spéciale.
S'addresser au distributeur Toshiba le plus proche.
6. Positionner l'unité extérieure dans un endroit où le
bruit et les vibrations qu'elle génère ne constitueront
pas une nuisance pour les voisins.
7. Eviter d'installer l'unité extérieure dans un endroit où
l'orifice de sortie d'air est soumis à des vents forts.
CABLAGE
1. S'assurer que l'appareil est mis a la terre, pour éviter
tous risques d'électrocution. Pour plus de détails,
consulter le distributeur local.
2. Raccorder l'appareil sur une alimentation électrique
séparée.
3. Les réglementations et les règles de l'art
actuellement en vigueur exigent l'installation d'un
sectionneur. S'addresser au distributeur local ou à
un électricien.
4. Si le fusible saute, le remplacer par un fusible ayant
le même étalonnage. Ne jamais le remplacer par
des fils ou tout autre matériau conductible. Ceci
risque de provoquer la destruction de l'appareil ou
un incendie.
ATTENTION
Le connexion à la terre/à la masse doit être conforme
aux réglementations locales. Vérifier ces
réglementations avant d'effectuer la mise à la terre.
REIMPLANTATION
Des techniques spéciales sont nécessaires pour
procéder à la réimplantation du conditionneur d'air. Le
distributeur Toshiba, qui peut offrir ce service, sera
heureux d'établir une proposition de prix à cet effet.

Bitte die folgenden Anweisungen beachten,
damit die Klimaanlage sicher und bequem
solange wie möglich Einsatz finden kann.
AUFSTELLUNG
1. Innen- und Außenanlage auf einem Fundament
aufstellen, daß das Gewicht und die Schwingungen
der Anlage aushalten kann.
2. In der Nähe von Lufteinlaß und -auslaß genügend
Platz lassen, um für ausreichende Belüftung zu
sorgen.
3. Beim Kühlen entfernt die Klimaanlage Feuchtigkeit
aus der Raumluft. Das Wasser muß vollkommen
abgelassen werden können.
4. Klimaanlage niemals an Orten aufstellen, an denen
sie brennbaren Gasen ausgesetzt ist.
5. An bestimmten Aufstellorten kann die Klimaanlage
eher ausfallen, zum Beispiel an ölhaltigen Stellen
(einschließlich Maschinenöl), salthaltigen Orten (in
Küstenbereichen) oder Schwefelgasumgebung (in
Badeorten). An solchen Orten eingebaute
Klimaanlage bedürfen spezielle Wartung. Ihre
Toshiba-Vertretung berät Sie gerne.
6. Außenanlage so aufstellen, daß Warmluft und
Geräusche Nachbarn keine Unannehmlickeiten
bereiten.
7. Außenanlage niemals an Orten aufstellen, wo starker
Wind auf den Luftauslaß blasen kann.
VERDRAHTUNG
1. Sicherstellen, daß die Klimaanlage ordnungsgemäß
zum Schutz gegen elektrische Schläge geerdet ist.
Ihr Vertragshändler gibt ihnen gerne weitere
Einzelheiten.
2. Keine andern Geräte von der gleichen Stromquelle
wie die Klimaanlage betreiben.
3. Die geltenden technischen Normen und Richtlinien
verlangen den Einbau eines Leistungsschalters.
Erforderliche Einzelheiten gibt ihnen Ihr Elektriker
oder Vertragshändler.
4. Wenn eine Sicherung durchbrennt, immer eine neue
Sicherung des gleichen Typs einbauen. Niemals
andere Methoden verwenden, da sie Störungen oder
sogar Feuer verursachen können.
VORSICHT
Alle Verdrahtungs- und Masseanschlüsse müssen den
geltenden Normen und Vorschriften entsprechen. Vor
Herstellung einer Masseverbindung diese Vorschriften
zu Rate ziehen.
ÄNDERUNG DES AUFSTELLORTES
Zur Aufstellung an einem anderen Aufstellort sind
spezialtechniken erforderlich. Ihr Vertragshändler legt
ihnen gerne ein angebot für die Kosten eines solchen
Neuaufstelldienstes vor.
