Configuring OSPF PIC

Prefix Independent Convergence (PIC) enables the device to speed up network convergence by
ignoring the number of prefixes.
When both OSPF PIC and OSPF FRR are configured, OSPF FRR takes effect.
OSPF PIC applies only to inter-area routes and external routes.
Enabling OSPF PIC
Step
1.
Enter system view.
2.
Enter OSPF view.
3.
Enable
OSPF.
Configuring BFD for OSPF PIC
By default, OSPF PIC does not use BFD to detect primary link failures. To speed up OSPF
convergence, enable BFD for OSPF PIC to detect the primary link failures.
To configure BFD control packet mode for OSPF PIC:

Enter system view.

Enter interface view.
3.
Enable BFD control packet
mode for OSPF PIC.
To configure BFD echo packet mode for OSPF PIC:
