To delay packets that arrive at a specified Gigabit Ethernet interface specifying microseconds, use the
ips netsim delay command in SAN extension tuner configuration submode.
Syntax Description
delay-us microseconds
ingress
gigabitethernet

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must enable the IP Network Simulator using the ips netsim enable command.
This command introduces a delay for all packets entering the Gigabit Ethernet interface. Delay is
unidirectional. To introduce delay in the opposite direction, use the slot and port number of the adjacent
interface.
Examples
The following example shows how to configure a delay of 50 microseconds for packets entering Gigabit
Ethernet interface 2/3.
switch# config terminal
switch(config)#
switch(config)# san-ext-tuner enable
switch(config)# exit
switch#
switch# ips netsim delay-us 50 ingress gigabitethernet 2/3
