Mezzanine cards connect to the PCI bus. They are physically smaller than the standard expansion card, and often connect to a
dedicated connector on the system board.
The PowerEdge C6320p supports an optional Mezzanine card.
The mezzanine card bridge board is used to connect the mezzanine card to the system board.

Removing a mezzanine card

Prerequisites
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform troubleshooting and
simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support
team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety
instructions that are shipped with your product.
1.
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
2.
Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
3.
Remove the sled from the enclosure.
4.
Remove the expansion card riser assembly.
5.
Keep the Phillips #1 screwdriver ready.
Steps
1.
Remove the screws that secure the mezzanine card to the sled.
2.
Lift the mezzanine card out of the sled.
NOTE: You must install an expansion card filler bracket over an empty expansion slot to maintain Federal
Communications Commission (FCC) certification of the system. The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the
system and aid in proper cooling and airflow inside the system.
