RELAYS

BATTERY CUT OFF RELAY AND LOAD CUT OFF RELAY
Removal and installation
• Remove the front frame cover. (#5-5)
• Remove the battery cut off relay 1 and load cut off relay 2.
• Install the battery cut off relay 1 and load cut off relay 2 in
the reverse order of removal.
SDS operation check
1) Set up the SDS tool. (Refer to the SDS operation manual for
further details.)
2) Turn the ignition switch ON.
3) Click "Data monitor".
4) Make sure the "Battery relay" and "Load cut off relay" on the
monitor are displayed "Off".
5) If the display is changed to "On" after starting the engine, the
operation is normal condition.
Relay check
First, check the insulation between A and B terminals with the
multi-circuit tester. Then, apply 12 V to C and D terminals, + to
C and - to D, and check the continuity between A and B ter-
minals.
If there is no continuity, replace the battery cut off relay (load cut
off relay) with a new one.
NOTE:
The battery cut off relay and load cut off relay are the same
parts.
