Avaya recommends that you power down the chassis before you clean fans and vents. If
you operate a system for more than five minutes without a operational fan tray or cooling
module, equipment damage can occur.
Use the following procedure to clean the 8010co chassis fans and ensure optimum system
cooling.

1. Locate the antistatic wrist strap in the shipping container.
2. Verify that the cable is attached to the wrist strap.
