Chapter 6: AC power supply replacement
Replace the AC power supply if it is not functioning properly. You can remove a redundant power supply
without affecting the operation of the Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 8800/8600.
Important:
Replace a failed power supply as soon as possible to restore high-availability operation.
Important:
The 8005DI power supply has two input LEDs–one green LED for each power cord to indicate which
supply is active.
Caution:
Risk of equipment damage
To maintain proper cooling, never operate the Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 8800/8600 chassis with
an empty power supply bay. If you are replacing a failed power supply and you do not have a power
filler panel, leave the failed power supply installed until a replacement power supply is available.
AC power supply replacement procedures
