Clamp Engaging Levers
(Continued)
Replacement
1.
Raise the clamp bar, then lower the shaft
between the clamp bar and the rear forms
guide.
2.
Install the shaft by inserting the left end,
then the right end. Push the shaft to the
right. You should feel the tension from
spring

Install bushing

Install plate

on
the left pivot pin. Hold the plate down
and tighten screw

4.
Install pin and lever assembly

in the
right engaging lever

Be sure the
bracket

on
the right lever operates the
lever assembly

when the lever

is
moved.
5.
Install pin

in the left lever.
6.
Raise both levers

then replace two
s~rews

in each solenoid bracket. Tight·
en cable clamps if loosened.
7.
Install the link on the shaft, then attach
clip
a
on lever
II .
Attach the spring to
the right end of the clamp bar.
8.
Do the forms tension service check steps
5, 6, and 7. Adjust if needed.
9.
Do the lower paper clamp service check
(4.6.44). If adjustment is needed, do
adjustment steps 8 through 18.
10.
I nstall the print unit (4.6.10) and printer
covers.
