Nothing Clicks: Starter Test 4 (Part 2 of 2)
Turn off Engine. Shift
Transmission out of Neutral.
With clutch disengaged
(pulled in) Start the Engine.
Does the Engine Start?
Yes
System
functioning
normally.
Yes
Test for continuity from
connector [95B] terminal
4
"2" to chassis Ground.
Is there continuity?
Yes
Disconnect ECM
connector [11].
Measure continuity from
4 connector [95B] terminal
"1" to connector [11B]
terminal "2".
Is there continuity?
Yes
Replace ECM.
Yes
Start the Engine.
Does the Engine start?
Yes
No
Disconnect Clutch
switch connector [95].
Check for continuity
between terminal "1"
4 and terminal "2" of
connector [95A] with the
clutch disengaged
(pulled in). relay socket terminal could
Is there continuity?
No
Disconnect ECM connector
Replace
Clutch
Switch.
between Start Relay socket
terminal "85" and connector

Test the Start Relay. Refer to 1.5

Is 12V present on Start
Replace
Relay terminal "86" with
Start
the Engine Stop Switch in
Relay.

Start Switch pressed?

be shown as "1" or "R".
