Nothing Clicks: Starter Test 4 (Part 1 of 2)
Place Engine Stop Switch in the RUN position.
Does the check engine lamp turn ON?
Yes
STOP
Go to Starter Test:
Nothing Clicks
(Part 2 of 2)
Yes
Test for voltage on
terminal "3" of
connector [22A].
Is voltage present?
Yes
Repair open in (W/BK)
wire in terminal "4" of
connector (22A).

Turn the Ignition Switch ON.
Does the electrical system have power?
Yes
No
Disconnect right hand controls
connector [22]. Check for
continuity between terminal "3"
and terminal "4" of connector

[22B] with the Engine Stop
Switch in the Run position.
Does continuity exist?
No
Replace Engine
Stop Switch.

Repair open in (GY)
wire in terminal "3" of
connector [22A].

Test the Battery. Refer to Section 1.10 Battery Testing.
Is the Battery good?
Yes
Test the J-Fuse (Firebolt)
or Battery Fuse (Ulysses;
Lightning).
Is fuse OK?
Yes
Test for battery voltage
between J-Fuse (Firebolt)
at ignition switch
and Fuse Block or Battery
terminal "B".
Is voltage present?
Repair circuits and replace
Yes
Turn Ignition Switch to IGN. Test
for voltage at the ignition switch
terminal "1".
Is voltage present?
Yes
Repair open in circuits between
Ignition Switch and Fuse Block.

Replace Battery.

Inspect for short circuit
Fuse and other circuits
(Ulysses; Lightning).
